Applications are invited for ONE position of PhD Scholar on project, “In silico design, synthesis, and preclinical studies on a new class of inhibitors for KDM6B for the treatment of chronic kidney disease” under the joint supervision of Prof. Partha Sarathi Addy and Prof. Syamantak Majumder.

Scope of Work:

The work will focus on the
1. Computer-aided drug design (CADD).
2. Organic synthesis of the designed drugs.
3. In vitro and in vivo activity studies to find potential drugs for the treatment of chronic kidney diseases.

Essential Qualification:

The candidate must hold an MSc degree in Chemistry (with minimum 55% marks) and should be interested to work in both the areas of Chemistry and Biology.

Candidates with specialization in Organic Chemistry will be preferred.

Desirable Qualification:

Experience in organic synthesis will be an added advantage. GATE/NET qualification is not mandatory however, the GATE/NET qualified candidates will be preferred.

Fellowship: ₹37,000 - ₹42,000 per month (based on the year of PhD and performance)
