ICMR invites online applications, from Indian Citizens, up to 16.02.2024 till 5:30 PM to fill up the following vacancy of Scientist-B (Bioethics) (Medical) (Unreserved) for posting in ICMR BioethIcs Unit, Bengaluru in Level 10 (Rs.56100-177500) (7th CPC Scale) and usual allowances as admissible to ICMR employees for appointment on regular basis under Direct Recruitment with all India transfer liability under the Council.

Essential Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by NMC/MCI

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Research & Development related to Research Ethics/ Bioethics, relevant to the job requirements in an in Govt/ Public Sector/ Private Institution

Job Description:
To plan, develop, and implement initiatives related to the development of ethics policy/ guidance and building capacity in Bioethics.

Selection Procedure:

• The Selection would be made based on computer-based written test (MCCis) or interview or both
• Written test, if conducted, would be based on the understanding of research methods and will be qualifying and the minimum qualifying would be 75 percentile.
• The top 12 candidates from among the above-qualified list who are otherwise eligible based on their qualifications/ experience would be called for interview.

Fee:

Application fee (non-refundable) of Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) is required. SC/ST/Women/PwBD/EWS candidates are exempted from the application fee. Application Fee is to be paid by candidates through online Iink given in the application form.

• AppIIcation received after the closing date, for whatever reason, is liable to be rejected.
• An incomplete or Application without supportive documents is liable to be rejected.

• At the time of personal discussion the applicants working in the Centre/State Government Department/ Public Sector Undertakings & Govt. funded research agencies, must submit a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer with an undertaking that "the applicant will be relieved within one month of his/her receipt of appointment order".
