IISER Bhopal: Invited applications for the post of Senior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of “Senior Research Fellow” in the DBT sponsored project “Design and development of a microfluidics-based device to determine antimicrobial susceptibility directly in clinical samples”.

Project description: The project will focus on the study of bacterial population growth within microfluidics and subsequent image analysis.

Duration: 6 months

Last date for applications: 29th July, 2024 or until filled (this call will remain open until suitable candidates are found)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Basic Sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Engineering disciplines with a good academic record. In addition, candidates should have either passed the GATE/NET exam or graduated from IITs/NITs/IISERs/IISc, etc.

In addition, the candidates should have 2 years of research experience. Candidates having experience in handling biological samples, bacterial cultures in microfluidics and image analysis, machine learning and deep learning will be preferred.

Salary: Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 42,000 p.m. + HRA (18%)
